This collection focused on roses, Victorian garments with tightness at the waist and bustles in the back, gothic lolita icons like Mana, and women I look up to. backside, shine, and flower adornments. Gothic lolita icons and women I look up to.
The red dress on Devin was a reference to a dress drawn in 2020, and my rose. I draped abstract roses at the bottom, and made it a bright, rosy red. The ankle length skirt on Maria was my reimagining of a Victorian bustle. The denim was a panel found at the thrift store and bleach-dyed, and the lace is a curtain also found at the thrift store, with more floral references. For Rahze's shirt, as well as Maria's, I used a photograph of roses I took in London and printed it on to mesh. I wanted literal roses, but I also wanted the fabric to mimic them in their soft, delicate nature.
